Such a mark in ancient times could mean the invitation to look and see the aura. In some cultures (India) they put a mark on a forehead. This is the location of the third eye or brow chakra. A colored background will change aura colors which complicates things, but you can practice looking at the auras of plants against the blue sky as a background. Situate the person in front of a very softly illuminated plain white background without shadows.Not only will you see the aura better, but you will also gain confidence about what you see. This exercise is designed to see Aura for the first time and/or for practicing to see auras. There are some great links at the bottom for further exploration. I then compiled and consolidated the descriptions for this handout. That really bugged me, so I took a few days and gleaned the internet finding resources on the color combinations. The one thing I did notice when studying all these materials was none of the resources really provided a full list of the aura colors and how to interpret them. I’ve spent quite a bit of time over the years wishing I could see auras and spending money on videos, books, and really cheapo (but expensive) blue glasses so I could learn how to see the aura consistently, but it hasn’t yet happened on a consistent basis.
